This wine comes from different vineyards located in Valtuille de Abajo. Mencía grapes from 90 years old vines.
Clay and sand soils with rolling stones (slate, quarz…) typical from Bierzo. Organic Viticulture. Vinification with all destemmed grapes in stainless steel tanks with a kind work during fermentation to avoid over-extraction. Around 5-7days of maceration. Aging during 7 months, in 5000 and 3500L, French oak fudres. With this wine, we want to combine the minerality of the soils with the fruity character of the Mencía grape. As a result, a very fresh wine, easy to enjoy.
