Bodega Quintafiel is a family winery, located in Quintanilla de Arriba, in the Peñafiel region, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero. It was born in 2004. Ángel and Esther, who ran the Mesón el Corralillo in Peñafiel, wanted to offer a wine made by themselves to accompany the typical dish from their grill: lamb. That was their dream and they made it come true in their own family home. An adventure that has a lot of passion, love for the land, desires to share table and wine, in a warm atmosphere of welcome and celebration. In this dream, the whole family feels involved: both a project and a reality, a desire for improvement and inheritance. Currently, the lead has been taken by the new generation, Salva.

For over a decade, the family crafted their own table wine, refining their skills with each vintage. In 2017, they took a step forward, joining the Ribera del Duero Appellation of Origin, marking a new chapter in their winemaking journey. With this milestone, their dedication grew, along with their commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

While the winery was deeply renovated, improving the production process to the most modern standards, its essence remains unchanged. The winery and its cellar stay in the shadows of the Duero river poplars as it always was, a reminder of their humble beginnings and the values they hold dear.

At Quintafiel, wine is more than just a product; it is a story of passion, family, and care. The winery’s philosophy is built on the idea that wine should evolve naturally, reflecting the nuances of each vintage while preserving its soul and personality. They embrace a delicate balance between tradition and innovation, always staying true to their origins while refining their craft.

Quintafiel’s flagship wine, DeSalva, is a Joven Roble aged for five months in oak barrels, offering a perfect balance between youthful freshness and subtle complexity. Recently they have introduced a 12-month barrel-aged wine, further highlighting their dedication to evolving without losing sight of their heritage.
